7.A.1. To consult with its attorney when the Board seeks advice about pending or contemplated litigation or a settlement offer, or when the attorney will have an ethical duty of confidentiality. (Tex. Gov't Code 551.071; Tex. Gov't Code 551.129).
7.A.1.a. The Board will consult with its attorneys in person and/or via telephone/video conference regarding the following:
i. pending litigation and the matter styled Cause No. 236-319405-20, Garcia v. Carroll ISD Board of Trustees, et. al, and related matters, including possible resolution.
ii. any other matters listed on the agenda, including matters related to agenda items 13.B and 13.C.
7.B. Student Information
7.B.1. To deliberate a matter regarding a public school student if personally identifiable information about the student will necessarily be revealed by the deliberation unless an open meeting about the matter is requested in writing by the student's parent. (Tex. Gov't Code 551.0821).
7.B.1.a. Discussion regarding background and status on student matter(s) in relation to agenda items 13B and 13C, and possible attorney consultation on same.
7.C. Personnel
7.C.1. To deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, including Board members, or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee. (Tex. Gov't Code 551.074).
7.C.1.a. Discussion regarding background and status on personnel matter(s) in relation to agenda items 13.B and 13.C, and possible attorney consultation on same.
7.C.1.b. Discussion regarding Superintendent Goals as related to the Superintendent's Mid-Year and/or Annual Evaluation
7.D. Real Property
7.D.1. To deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the board's position in negotiations with a third person. (Tex. Gov't Code 551.072).
